Twins?
Don't these two photos look like either the same baby or at least twin
boys? Well, one is Elliott and one is Josh. Definitely brothers!

Boodles
Pumpkin Land was a big success with Josh and Jane's preschool class. The kids got to go through a corn maze, see a lot of farm animals, play at two different play grounds and pick out their own little pumpkins. Each activity was cooler than the last and they had so much fun running around like maniacs. A big thanks to Grandma Jones for watching Elliott so I could chase the kids around Pumpkin Land.
P.S. Yes, I know Jane has a twin. However Josh will not stay still for anything let alone my camera so I just have a few of him. Oh well.

Wish I was Knitting
This will be Josh's new hat if I can get back to knittin' any time soon. I jacked up my right arm picking up our little mouse and I am not suppose to be knitting for a bit, well or typing right now.....cough. So anyway, I am almost done with this one and it is killing me not to finish it.
Josh was none too thrilled to try it on because A) I didn't make him a "carrot hat", and 2) apparently this one is a bit "scratchy". In the picture below you can see Jane's finger pointing out that Josh does not in fact like said hat. Thanks Jane, very helpful.
I feel like he should wear it anyway, isn't there a time honored tradition of children enduring lovingly crafted clothes only because their mom made them. I mean once you put some much time into something shouldn't someone, somewhere have to wear it, no matter how hideous? It's not like he is in school yet and in peril of being torn to pieces on the play ground. Is that wrong?

Captain No Pants from the Land of Itchy Knee.
I can't get this kid to put pants on to save his life! As soon as we come in from anywhere off go the pants. If I want him to put pants on it is always followed by, "Where are we going?". Ugh, it is torture to keep more than underwear on this kid.

Poncho Pictures
So here it is in all its glory, The Poncho. The first time I tried it on I thought that it was way too long. I was a wee bit worried that I would have to frog about six inches off the bottom. However after wearing it up the canyon today, I decided that being nice and toasty was much more important than potentially ending up on YouTube as "the crazy poncho lady".
Whatever, I know that it completely ginormous but I love it. It took me about four months of knitting time and a lot of Hulu to finish. Just in time for winter, Hooray!

Two down, one to go!
So winter is on it's way and we are trying to get ready around here.
These are a few hats I whipped up over the last few weeks. Hats are so
satisfying because they are quick and easy. Though the ears on Jane's
hat did give me some trouble it wasn't too bad. I'm sure if I ever
learned how to read a pattern I would save myself a world of hurt, but
patterns are scary and mysterious. Maybe I'll learn how next year, hmmm.
