Anyone who reads this blog (my mom and Kgördee's mom) knows how we feel about sandwiches around here. We base major travel plans around sandwich destinations. Our favorite place for the best sandwich in the world is Lombardi's in Petaluma California.
Both Kgördee and are constantly trying to recreate the magic that happens there. Last night Kgördee made me the most amazing sandwich. It brought me back to California, and it made me wish we were headed to Salem Creek for a picnic. I love that Kgördee and I both obsess over the perfect sandwich. Thanks Babe for making all my dreams come true!

New Maxi skirt for Jane
I have a new favorite! I threw this skirt together this afternoon from my stash of stripped jersey fabric. I am in love with this little skirt. It is so easy and functional and best of all Jane loves it!
Outdoors time
The kids and I have been into playing catch the last few days. We can keep the ball in the air for about 45 seconds at a time.

One of my Favorite parts about being a Mom
The notes I find.
The first note I was given to read after coming home from a date.
The second I found while cleaning up the kids papers.
The third and forth is a book that Josh and Jane started on Father's Day in the Hotel room in So Cal.

We take Rummikub very seriously around here
Except some of us don't. The twins want to help everyone and always want help from Mom. Elliott and I on the other hand play to win. In the last game Ell Bogarted both "smiley faces" as he calls them until we convinced him he had to lay them down.

The Tortilla Bar
We had some amazing food at the Tortilla Bar tonight. Kgördee has been before with a friend, but this was my first trip. I've been hearing about it for a few months but I haven't had a chance to make it until now.
The food is very fresh and the combinations are excellent and unexpected. I loved the avocado tacos with goat cheese and beets. The plantains reminded me of Panama though they were prepared differently than the ones we ate in Bocas Del Toro.
I'm sad I didn't take any pictures of the battered chicken or my dessert of carmel popcorn with bananas and whipped spiced cream. I can't wait to go again and try something new.
